Story
Update - May 2014
As some of you know, I’ve made the really difficult decision to delay my Iceland trek for a year. I injured my knees a few months ago and while I’m recovering, it hasn’t been as fast as I’d like – and I’d hate to be halfway across a glacier in Iceland and injure myself again or delay the rest of the group.
HOWEVER I am going to carry on fundraising, because the most important thing is about raising money for Macmillan!
People have been incredibly generous so far, and I have
other events and sales planned – keep your eyes peeled.
Hopefully I will be able to take part in another challenge
in 2015, but either way I’m still aiming for that £3k...
Why am I fundraising for Macmillan?
Put simply I've seen the amazing work they do both through knowing people they've helped, and learning more about them while working there.
One in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives and it affects everybody. I started working for Macmillan about 18 months ago and I’ve been bowled over by the breadth of what they do – from providing financial help and advice, supporting carers, lobbying government, to funding essential services. The commitment and generosity of everyone I work with is mindblowing.
Update - November 2013
My first fundraising challenge was taking part in Sober October, which raised a whopping £500! Thank you so mych to everyone who sponsored me, and keep tuned for details of what I'm doing next...

Thanks in advance for your kind sponsorship,
