Acorns supports around 750 children and almost 1,000 families every year. The charity needs to raise £11 million each year to provide its lifeline care. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable. Together, we are stronger.

Story

My little neice Laila Rose Doocey was born on the 3rd February 2007,  she was starved of oxygen which led to her having cerebal palsy.  Because of her condition she was accepted at Acorns Childrens Hospice where she had the opportunity to do many things she could not do at home, it also gave Justine and PJ important respite.  Laila had the chance to do many things at Acorns, but most importantly she was loved and cared for by all the staff.  If there were no events like this Acorns Childrens Charity would no longer exist.  On the 5th July 2009 Laila passed away in her sleep.  There will always be an emptyness in the hearts of those around her.  So please dig deep for Laila's memory and all the children at Acorns Childrens Hospice.

Thank you
