Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
To celebrate turning 40 this year I am doing something I’ve always wanted to challenge myself to do - a wing walk, which will involve me being strapped to the top of a bi plane and being flown at heights of up to 2,000 feet. But more importantly I would like to raise money for a charity that is very close to my heart - Tiny Toes. Tiny Toes support the work of the Neonatal Intensive Care and Special Care Baby Units in our hospitals. Any donation you give will be very gratefully received.
When Oscar was born 4 years ago there had been a very rare complication during pregnancy which resulted in him having dangerously low blood and oxygen levels. He was born by emergency C-Section with an APGAR score of 1 and whisked straight off to NICU. He needed resuscitation and blood transfusions. Over the next few hours he suffered from seizures and was heavily sedated to reduce the risk of more. At 4 days old he had an MRI to assess any impact on his brain. The staff in NICU and the special care unit were amazing and looked after Oscar until we were able to take him home a week later. We are so grateful for their care and feel blessed that he is now a happy, healthy and cheeky 4 year old.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
(Note that Jonny & I are covering the cost of actually doing the wing walk so any donations will be going straight to the charity.)
