Story
When I first signed up for the Brighton marathon, the reaction of my housemates said it all - 'are you crazy?!' Of course, when thinking of the hours of training, the copious amount of blisters and chafing, not to mention the inevitable muscle soreness that will occur, you could answer 'yes'. However, in my opinion, I am physically able to do it, so my answer is 'no'. Last April my Aunt sadly passed away, after having lived a long life of 63 years with Cerebral Palsy. Considering the bravery and endurance that she showed, whilst outdoing all predictions made by the people around her, the effort I will make over these next few months seems incredibly small. Nevertheless, every effort, big or small, to help Scope UK is appreciated.
Scope is a fantastic charity, which supports disabled people and their families and aims to change society for the better, so that they can have the same opportunities in life as everyone else. Every donation will count, so please dig deep and take a moment to give your support to such a worthwhile cause.
