Yep... I am having my own little mid life crisis by doing the London Marathon in my 50th year!!  Each year while watching this tremendous event on the telly I have had a secret wish that I was there with all those ordinary people who have generated such extraordinary energy and commitment to do a marathon.. this year I will be there!!

I am thrilled that "Fight for Sight" has chosen me to be one of their 2011 runners on the 17th of April.

When my nephew Ben went blind I became much more aware of the difficulties surrounding blindness and visual impairment. "Fight for Sight" has been funding world-class research for over 45 years into the prevention and treatment of blindness and eye disease. I am asking for your help to raise money to give people the chance to retain their sight.
