Story
My beautiful twin girl Poppy Marie Dutton entered this world on 04/02/2010 weighing 580g, she let out a huge cry and was quickly taken away to be put on life support - the next day, 05/02/2010 her little sister, Isabel Grace entered the world weighing 500g, sadly Isabel was too tiny and passed away after 10 minutes fighting. Poppy Marie continued fighting for 11 days and she was one fiesty little baby who wanted to be here, sadly her little sister Isabel Grace needed her more and Poppy passed away 15/02/2010.
Every day is a battle to survive now without our girls and if we could prevent this from happening to other families by providing that life saving incubator for tiny fragile babies, it would help us and keep the girls memory alive knowing we have helped.
Without the love and care we recieved and the excellent medical facilities at Liverpool Womens hospital we would not have even been able to hold our precious babies, the unit are in need of equipment to help similar babies born so prematurely and give them a chance of life just like they did with my precious girls.
The amount we hope to raise is going towards an incubator for Liverpool Womens Hospital in memory of Poppy & Isabel at a cost of £14,000, we hope to raise this by doing various fundraising events throughout the year and so far we have raised £3000 towards this so anything helps.
2/10/2010 - update
We have held a huge charity auction and raffle to go towards the girls incubator and we have raised a further £8000 from this event so we have just over £11,000 raised now which is fantastic!! We will continue to fundraise for our girls in 2011 xx
