Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So, here's the story. I've put on a lot of weight in the last few months. It's been a tough few months and I've crammed in the food like there's no tomorrow. But in approximately 20 weeks I will hit 40 and I want to be a fabulously forty and not a fat forty. But, knowing me that's not enough motivation. Like a lot of people I can let myself down way too easily when faced with cake; suddenly the whole 'looking great for my 40th' very easily slips away.
So I got to thinking about what would really motivate me to stay on track...and the answer was the little man above. What about if it was a choice between the cake and my son? Would I be so quick to eat it then?
So, I'm asking people to sponsor me to lose 20lbs before I'm 40 on 21st May. Whether it's per lb or a certain amount, it doesn't matter, I'm just asking people to help out.
The charity I've chosen is Scope who support people with disabilities. Last year Scope funded a one-to-one support for Xander at a football camp in the summer, a sports club at half term and an after school sports club. Without them Xander wouldn't have been able to take part in clubs that are pretty much the norm for kids his age. I want to raise money to help this kind of support continue.
I'll be documenting my progress on my blog www.20beforeforty.blogspot.com so you can keep up with how I'm doing and witness the meltdowns when I can't have that big piece of Costa carrot cake!
Thanks for your support. X
