Story
Andy and I have been lucky in securing a charity place for the London Marathon 2020. As many of you know after losing my son Cameron in 2003, not long before his 5th birthday to meningitis this charity has become close to my heart. Not only has this awful illness tragically taken my son it has also taken my cousin’s little girl Ava at the age of 13 months, a family devastated twice, two beautiful innocent children gone forever. I have completed 2 half marathons (not recently) and always vowed never to take on a full marathon but here we are about to start training for a 26.2 mile run. Cameron fought so hard to stay with us only to lose his battle 24 hours later, he is my warrior, my hero, this will be for him, Ava and everyone else affected by this terrible disease. I miss and love my beautiful Cameron with every inch of my being so much so my body physically aches for him, every minute of every day. Words cannot explain the pain you carry inside after losing a child, it’s not short term, it’s forever. I carry Cameron in my heart always and I know he’ll be with me on the day of our run to help me though.
Both myself and Andy have a target of £2000, £4000 in total to secure our charity place’s. Please please support us and this charity in memory of our beautiful children anyway possible. Donations no matter how small would be greatly received but please if you could share this page to help reach as many people as possible that would be amazing.

In summary we are running the London Marathon 2020 in memory of Cameron and Ava, in aid of Meningitis Research Foundation because we want to help them achieve their goal of defeating meningitis and septicaemia wherever they exist.
ALWAYS ON MY MIND, FOREVER IN MY HEART 💙
