Visit to Asha Delhi

Visit to Asha Delhi · 10 January 2019
Louise and Elaine are Consultant Rheumatologists, who are going to Delhi in February 2019 to support the work of Asha in the slums of Delhi. Asha is a charity working in public health and education in the Delhi slums. Our aim is to help train local doctors and nurses with simple protocols, just like our own teams use. We will also provide specialist clinics to slum dwellers with limited access to health care.
Asha is also working to encourage young people to stay at school and has been supporting a group into college; an impressive way to provide them and their families with hope for the future. Matt will be helping young people with their English and computer skills.
We are seeking to raise funds, so Asha can employ more village nurses, who we will work with and train up in sustainable skills and also to support children’s education.
We will be funding our own travel and accommodation.

Please support us in this exciting project!
