Me and a group of mates done this back in 2016 for hospice care and 2017 for devon air ambulance.. we set a challenge where we visited all 51 railway stations in one day by train only, on a devon ranger ticket. Well this year we have a new station, Okehampton! So we now have to visit 52 stations in one day. The old record time was just over 11 hours, but we know we will never beat it now with new time tables and a extra station on the map. So we are going for a record on the 52 stations which should take 14hrs and 32mins if all goes to plan, we all know what the trains are like at times. We chose mental health this time round, due to the fact I've been sat on a railway bridge myself with nowhere to turn and it really is very under funded by our hopeless government! All through the lockdowns this over stretched service become even more over stretched, with one of our members working in this environment. He saw stuff that I wouldn't want on my worse enemies and he was over worked, stressed himself, and worn out. So anything you can donate will be a massive help to our small target. We completed this challenge, just! With a signal issue from a lightning strike at Ivybridge, it nearly put a stop to the challenge, but we came up with a plan B which worked just. With a 5 minute window to change at tiverton Parkway.
