Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decided to aim for completing the London 2012 marathon after completing the half marathon in Glasgow in 2011.  The training was tough and at times I began to wonder whether I would actually make it. However, I had great support from my family and close friends who gave me the inspiration to continue on, when my body was telling me to stop.

I have been amazed at the great support I have had with exceeding the target amount of £2000 for such a great and worthly cause. Bowel & Cancer Research is quite a small charity but does such great things. 

Thanks to everyone that helped me raise over £3000. From the people who donated money, bought the raffle tickets and calendars to the 'volunteers' who took part in the calendar and my sister Dawn and Ruth who designed and took the photos for the calendar.  I couldn't have done it without you.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart.  The money raised is in memory of my Auntie who died of Bowel Cancer in 2011.
