Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
William Kenneth Sharp was born on 13th September, 2013. He is the first child of Billy and Sharon, and my gorgeous grandson.
For the first four days of his life, William had no physical contact with his Mummy or Daddy, as he was receiving Cold Cot Therapy. No cuddles, kisses or TLC! This was a very difficult time for his Mum and Dad ..... having to watch their lovely son through a plastic-type box, as the 'very special' nurses took-over all care of him. His temperature had to be maintained below normal, to offset any possibility of damage to his brain, as a result of a very traumatic delivery.
As you can see from his photos, he is a lovely happy wee boy .... full of smiles and baby noises. He is a wee miracle, and such a pleasure!
By doing my Firewalk, I am hoping to raise lots of money for Bliss. The cost of a cold cot is astronomical and there are very few in Scotland. William was cared for in Wishaw SCBU, a 90mile round trip from his home in Argyll and Bute. I would like our money to go towards funding, for this therapy to be available in our own area.
Please give what you can, either as a 'one off' donation, or by Direct Debit over a period of time. I know that these are difficult times for most of us ..... everybody seems to be looking for money, but just stop and think .... this experience could be 'yours', if you are a prospective Mum, Dad, Granny, Grandpa, Auntie or Uncle. These little babies who are born too early, too small or too sick, deserve the best of care, and that is what Bliss does.
