Hi everyone! 

No need to rub your eyes!

Yes you read right, I, Lorraine Pacheco, possibly the most unfit, undisciplined woman in South London, perhaps across London, pledge to walk, power walk in fact, on July 1st 2012, over 13 miles in a pink bra! : O

According to Google maps, that is from my house in West Norwood, across the Thames to Seven Sisters station! (gulp) I don't drive, ( I dont even walk dammit, I take the bus!) so lets just say I didn't quite guage it would be as expedition like as this before I signed up! This is ALOT of walking, but I know with your support and encouragement I can do this. 

This is as much a personal fitness/mental challenge for me as it an opportunity to raise money for a great cause. Fortunately I don't know anyone who has been affected by breast cancer personally, but some years ago now I had a scare when I found a lump in my right breast. Fortunately, it was only a benign cyst, which I carry around with me to this day (not in my pocket, my boob lol) but it was a frightening experience and so its so reassuring to know that such invaluable research and work goes into supporting women who unfortunately are not so lucky. Its the few pounds like yours that will ensure this keeps going!

When I forget the gruelling training plan I have yet to begin, July 1st promises to be a really fun day with lots of giggles and shameless boob talk and I can't wait! I will be walking alongside (5m behind lol) the lovely Lara Prior and the sunny Sarah Wasley (our team is called...drum roll please....The Pink Pachangas!) who I quite frankly could not do this without.
