Story

This page has been created in memory of my mum, Linda Painter.  Mum was taken from us too soon on 25 March after a short battle with cancer.

Mum was never one to complain, or ask for help.  Even to the last mum was more concerned with others and how they would cope, rather than her own illness.

For that reason, we are asking for those who feel able to provide a donation to Saint Francis Hospice.

Saint Francis Hospice helped my nan when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer in the 1980s, and did the same for my mum.  In the few days that mum had with nurses from the hospice, she was shown more compasion and care by their nurses then in the remaining time she was unwell.  And that compasion did not stop when she died, with the hospice also being of assistance to my family after mum passed.

It is therefore fitting to offer a donation to the Hospice in Mum's name.

Thank you for your donation, however small.
