Story
Meet Nana…
Always making us laugh with her wicked sense of humour, she continued trying to dance around the living room even when she could barely walk!
She is the reason I am raising £3,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Now for the sad bit..!
For most of her life she was the head of our family and looked after us. At the end of her life, suffering from Parkinson’s disease and Dementia, she could no longer look after us so we as a family returned the favour and made sure she was cared for in her own home.
Without Marie Curie she would not have been able to spend the end of her life at home, surrounded by friends and family. The Nurses were absolutely brilliant and not only took care of her medical needs but somehow managed to support the whole family losing someone who had been the centre of our lives for so long.
By joining the Great Wall of China Trek I hope to raise at least £3,000 for Marie Curie so others can receive the same brilliant care that we did, and go someway to repay the great kindness we received from the Nurses.
Please give generously to a fantastic cause and don’t forget to gift aid it!
Thank you!

COSMO JARVIS - 06/05/11
I cannot say thank you enough to Adam Gee who organised an absolutely brilliant gig with Cosmo Jarvis and raised £450, with the help of Mum and Alison. I know everyone who went had a fantastic night and is hoping Adam will have more live music in his living room!! Photos and videos to follow shortly...
MODBURY MAY FAIR MARKET STALL - 07/05/11
After a late night watching Cosmo the night before, Amy, Hannah and I managed to drag ourselves out of bed early the next morning to set up a market stall at the Modbury May Fair Street Market. Between a Great Wall of China Treasure Hunt, with prizes kindly dontated by Aune Valley Meat and Stocks in Modbury and a 'nearly new and very old sale' we raised another £180! Thank you both for all your hard work with the first of many fundraising events!
