Story

On Saturday 27th July we will climb & walk 13 miles in memory of my Mum. She worked at St John's Hospice in Doncaster looking after people affected by terminal illnesses for 7 years. It was work she loved but had to give up when she herself was diagnosed with Multiple Myloma   (a rare blood cancer) on 6th January in 2007.

Her treatment , although at times brutal, was amazing and she was able to enjoy another 6 years living with her cancer.
Sadly on 16th October her body finally gave up the fight and she passed away.

St Johns Hospice provide a vital service to families affected by life limiting illnesses and offer information & support, contact, understanding, direction & hope.

I am extremely grateful for the support and care she received from her colleagues and friends and in recognition of this would like to raise money to enable them to continue to provide this service to others in a similar position.
