Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 28th of May I will be taking part in the London2Brighton Ultra Marathon 100km to raise money for the Early Birth Association (EBA).
I’m aiming to finish the 100km in under 24hours.
Why the EBA?
My son Zachary was born premature at 24 weeks 4 days, we spent around 5months in Brighton Trevor Mann Baby Unit where he battled for his life every day before he was transferred back to the Conquest. Over his time at TMBU he went through 5 operations. Some being emergency and life saving at a moments notice.
The EBA are a charity that help families by suppling things like cups of tea to suppling iPads so the neonatal nursing team can take photo/video updates of the babies to send to the parents as covid stopped parents from physically seeing their babies in the unit.
The EBA also donate lifesaving equipment like incubators and respiratory equipment which are essential to giving every child the best possible chance and fund research into improving the care for future premature births.
