The Great Sunflower Grow Off for CFCF (Cystic Fibrosis Comfort Fund).
After the diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis of our beautiful and brave 3rd child Annabelle in 2015. As a family we have worked hard to raise funds and support families in people impacted by Cystic Fibrosis. This year we have chosen to support the Bristol based Cystic Fibrosis Comfort Fund. The CFCF is small charity which aims to help those who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis in their daily lives and enhance their quality of life.
Cystic Fibrosis is one of the UK's most common, life-limiting, inherited diseases.
Cystic Fibrosis affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food.
Those affected are born with CF and approximately 1 in every 2,500 babies born in the UK will inherit the condition.
Improvements in care and treatment mean that more and more babies born with CF will become adults, however life expantacty is making remarkable strides life can be challenging and complex.
