Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As a youngster I used to love walking. Having been overweight most of my life, walking has been very difficult for me. Over the last few years I have lost 5 stone in weight. Recently I returned from a holiday with my family to Budapest where I was hitting 20000 steps on a couple of days. This made me realise I can do this! So the next step was to find something to motivate me and being able to raise money for a good cause is even better!

Diabetes UK is a great cause and effects so many people, including my mother. Any support you can give, no matter how small, will be a great boost for this cause and for me to keep on walking!

The Challenge is 1,000,000 steps in 3 months, that is the equivalent of walking from Dover to Edinburgh or 19 marathons!!!! Starting 1st July - 30th September.

I have started a blog as a diary to record my journey on this challenge https://lizmillionsteps.blogspot.com/
