Story
I'm taking part in the Snowdon Sunrise Trek for Shooting Star Children's Hospices. It is their toughest challenge in the Sunrise series, asking participants to trek from the bottom of the mountain at night to reach the summit at sunrise. This challenge will be a mental and physical test, but I am proud to be scaling Snowdon, whilst raising money to support the families Shooting Star Children's Hospices care for.
I will be doing this in memory of my son, Oliver. Oliver was diagnosed with Krabbe disease, a genetic metabolic condition that meant he spent every day in pain. Shooting Star hospice helped make his final weeks as comfortable and peaceful as possible. We will be forever grateful for the care, compassion and love they gave us all. And their continued support is invaluable.
Shooting Star Children's Hospices are hoping to raise £20,000 from the Sunrise Trek. Check out the group just giving page to see how we are doing.
