Saint Francis Hospice is a leading provider of palliative care for people living in Havering, Brentwood, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham. We care for people from 18 years of age, of any race or religion, who have a life limiting illness due to cancer, heart disease, motor neurone disease or respiratory disease and we provide physical, spiritual and emotional care and support to patients and their families.

Story

This page is in memory of Sarah Smith. Sarah was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

St Francis Hospice offers total care for patients and families living with terminal illness. Sarah and her family derived great comfort from the time she spent at the hospice.

Sarah's wish was that anyone who wanted to express their support for her would do so by making a donation to the hospice.

The hospice costs £3million each year to keep 12 beds open. The NHS funds 16% of these costs.

We will miss Sarah very much.
