I have watched the London marathon all my life and it was always something that I admired people doing.. I used to tell my father I would do it one day and it never happened...

My father passed away 12 months ago and he was my hero, my best friend and he inspired me in every way.

I spent the last two hours with my father in the hospital before he died, we sat together and spoke about everything from comedies, films, music, life, relationships and much more.

My father lived, laughed, loved and left a legacy and he has inspired me to do the same.

A lot of us take life for granted, and its only when it comes to the end do we wish we perhaps did things a little different. I don't want to live my life like that I want to make every day count.

I wake up every day grateful that my daughters are warm, not hungry, happy, healthy and able to dream big and have the chance to reach those dreams.

Yet in the world we have children not able to go to school due to a typhoon, or nothing to eat or clean water to drink, or in the middle of war !!

These children are innocent, beautiful pure human beings that deserve the world and a good start in life to dream big and live a life reaching those dreams.

I only started running a few months ago and I have 13 months to train for this marathon and in the next 3-4 months I have a 10k, half marathon and London Marathon...

I have no idea what time I will complete the Marathon BUT I do know that I will complete the Marathon and hopefully in one piece.
