Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
Centre 33 are a free, confidential service offering young people information and support on any issue. Recently due to budget cuts to the NHS many people are turning away young people who have more complex issues such as mental health or are young carers from NHS services. With these recent cuts many of the doctors and psychiatrists have been telling people to use Centre 33 as their main source of support.
Centre 33 is a long-standing charity, supporting young people up to the age of 25 in Cambridgeshire since 1981 through a range of free and confidential services, without being NHS funded and yet taking on the vulnerable people of Cambridge and Ely. In the past two years waiting lists have risen and the more young adults being told to take advantage of the service has more than doubled.
Centre 33 provide; local information and Outreach, Counselling, Mental Health service, the Young Carers Project, Housing support or sexual health services. They have even started to help with crime, legal advice and peoples rights. If they can't help you they go out of their way to help you to access other organisations that may be of help to you.
I know for a fact this charity has saved lives and I believe with extra funding they can help so many more people within the area.
