I have been a member of the RSPB for several years and this year I wanted to help raise some money for them. Its not a Cancer charity and they dont rescue starving dogs. In this time of austerity I can understand why donating to the RSPB would not be your first choice.

But...

They do a fantastic job fighting crime against birds such as egg collecting and poisoning. By ignoring these illegal activities we are allowing some of Britains most amazing species to be eradicated.

The RSPB does not just help protect birds, they help all sorts of wildlife and provide lots of free places for adults and children to visit to learn about birds, insects and wildlife. Our nearest being Newport Wetlands.
