As many of you know I might do a bit of running lol!!  but in all seriousness running changed my life, not quite sure where I would be right now if running was not part of it ✔️❤️ 

I am lucky to have taken part in many marathons, but never London, so this one will be special for many reasons (to many to list!)
One thing I do know is that I will be thinking of my dear dad, who I know would have been so proud to watch me complete this journey.

Training is well under way, but the difference being I am hitting those roads, rather than my usual off road trails, mud, rivers, woods, ohhh and my mates the cows!!  So if you drive past me, give us a toot!!

Getting into London Marathon is very difficult and after 13 years at least, I have the luxury of a ballot place.  Now I could just run, but I did not want to waste my opportunity to raise some money for a worthy cause, so for me I have chosen Children's Hospice South West.  

Supporting 500 families each year across their three hospices (Devon, Cornwall and Somerset), the charity provides hospice care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, whilst also supporting the family for as long as is needed from short breaks, palliative/end of life care, bereavement and sibling support.

Being a mum myself to Flossie, I cannot imagine the situation these poor families find themselves in or how they possibly deal with that prognosis.

These essential, cherished services cost £12 million a year, almost entirely reliant on voluntary donations!
