Well we did it!

It was a collective effort yesterday at the London marathon, the runners and the energy of the crowds propelled everyone on.

Most of all, when the going got tough in the last 7 miles around Canary Wharf when my knee injury started hindering my progress and I was ready to give in to the pain - I can't tell you how much the support of the Chain of Hope gang helped me to keep putting one step in front of the other and keep going. They know who they are but thank you again especially to Lucy and Mariam for their constant encouragement and faith in me. It was more a mental rather than physical struggle at the end. What ultimately kept me going through the injury was the knowledge that the children for whom this money is being raised, will continue to suffer far more than I ever will, many without the hope of Cardiac treatment due to lack of resources, funding, Infrastructure or expertise in their home countries.

Please help us reach this target to raise money for three children to undergo corrective heart surgery who desperately want the chance of a future.
