Story
Network Rail employees are taking part in Wig Wednesday on 21st May and are being sponsored to wear a wig for the day to help raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer.
Why your support is so important
Every day, 10 children and young people in the UK hear the shocking news they have cancer. CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families, providing clinical, practical and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life.
Being diagnosed with cancer is a frightening experience. Treatment can last up to three years and frequently leads to children and young people losing their hair as part of gruelling, often life-saving cancer treatment.
By being part of Wig Wednesday you are helping to raise awareness of the impact of cancer treatment on the lives of children and young people, and raising money to help fund CLIC Sargent’s services for them.
