Story
Jude!
For those of you that have met Jude will know that despite all of his difficulties he is a cheeky little boy full of character and determination. He has made unbelievable progress at The Pace Centre and continues to work very hard in his quest to achieve basic life skills. He makes his family and friends very proud!
The progress Jude has made at PACE since we joined their parent and child group over 7 years ago has been amazing. He can now sit up unaided, read, use an ipad better than I can and has learnt to communicate verbally and is learning to talk in sentences. He needs a lot of assistance but he certainly feels a lot more independent and grown up! His days at PACE incorporate all the therapies that he needs in an accessible and engaging curriculum to help him learn in an exciting way. PACE have helped us as a family in their support and dedication.
PACE is a charity based in Buckinghamshire that gives developmental assistance to physically disabled children who find learning everyday skills difficult. PACE believe in each child's ability to learn despite their disability and provides an inspirational environment motivating the children to work hard achieving goals. Help includes physical, social, communication, academic and self care skills.
What is Jude's challenge?
To raise funds for the wonderful work that PACE do, Jude has been tasked to:
"To race my bike between obstacle cones the length of the sports hall within a set time".
This will take place at the world famous Stoke Mandeville Stadium on 13th November 2014 cheered on by guest Paralympians; rower Pamela Relph MBE and sprinter Sam Ruddock.
We would really appreciate your support to raise money for PACE and enable the charity to continue the good work. Every penny raised is used efficiently and is genuinely precious to all the children and families who benefit from PACE.
So, please dig deep and donate now!
Thank you.
