Story
I was delighted, surprised and a little bit teary to hear that I had been nominated and then selected to be one of the 24 models taking part in COTC 2015.
As many of you know I was diagnosed in 2012 with stage 3 bowel cancer. Despite having radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery the cancer returned in March 2014. Unfortunately it is now incurable. I have fortnightly chemotherapy which for the moment is keeping the cancer under control. The treatment takes it toll but for the majority of the time I feel well . I am continuing with my running and taking part in the Balmoral 10k for Friends Of Anchor along with Phil and Molly. The aim is to keep as fit and active for as long as I can and enjoy life.
Not only has COTC allowed me to meet 23 inspiring and courageous woman but has also given me the opportunity to do something I had never imagined I would be doing. I am so excited!
My family, friends and especially my husband have been so supportive all through this stage of my life, I hope I can do them proud when I walk down that catwalk!
