Story
Our sweet Jack was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at 16 years old and went on to have an internal cardiac defibrillator (ICD) implanted. This helped alleviate any abnormal heart rhythms. Jacks positivity and determination meant he went on to life as normal life as possible, doing anything he set his mind to. Jack loved music and was a talented guitar player learning songs effortlessly. His favourite band/musicians being Alter Bridge and John Mayer. One of his favourite concerts was seeing Alter Bridge in the Royal Albert hall. Jack’s other passion was science. He studied Biomedical Science at Cardiff Metropolitan University earning a merit at masters level. He then went on to work as a Biomedical Scientist working towards his specialist portfolio in Histology and loved it. He would always have either a pathology book or a guitar in his hand! Jack also loved being around people whether it be family get-togethers or meeting up with friends. He was such a chatty person with an amazing sense of humour and the most amazing laugh. The lives of those he knew and spent time with have been changed in every way for the better. He was our rock, our ray of sunshine, our inspiration. We will miss him eternally. We couldn't think of a better way to remember and honour Jack's life than raising money to go towards much needed research into cardiology in the UK. Ultimately improving treatments for those, like Jack, diagnosed with cardiac conditions. So please give what you can for such a worthy cause. Thank you for taking the time to read about our wonderful Jack.
I am so proud that Jack's Gift of Hope page has received £750 of donations. What an achievement!! Thank you all so so much!
I have decided to take part in the Cardiomyopathy "30 day challenge" and learn to play guitar again. I will post updates on my progress, wish me luck!! xx
