Story
Jo and I have decided to cycle to Paris (circa 165 miles) and raise money for Refugees At Home. We are not particularly experienced cyclists (or talented for that matter!), but we are training hard and hoping that our dodgy navigation skills and near zero understanding of bike maintenance, won't lead us astray. The hardest part is definitely going to be the lycra...
Refugees at Home is a small UK charity that connects refugees and asylum seekers (who would otherwise face homelessness and destitution) with a host family who can offer a safe and welcoming place to stay. So far it has been responsible for placing 2,693 guests (from 75 countries), with a total of 203,120 placement nights. We would absolutely love to raise £1,000 for such a great bunch of people, doing incredible work. Anything you can donate would be amazing!
