I hate running. It physically & mentally pains me. However, that is nothing compared to the pain & suffering of people with terminal illnesses.

In 2012 my mum was in that situation after losing her battle against cancer. She spent her final couple of weeks in St Ann's Hospice. The care she received whilst there, not to mention the compassion shown to both her and our family, was outstanding. So it is actually going to be a pleasure to complete the Bupa Manchester 10k run to help raise funds for this wonderful place.
