MS is relentless, painful and disabling. Tomorrow with your help we believe we can change that.
Due to increased weakness, spasticity, pain and balance problems. Boxing Day 2019 will be the most physically challenging one yet!
Instead of enjoying family time filling up on the left over turkey, I’ll be heading to Redcar Sea to take part in the traditional Boxing Day Dip! I’ll be wheeled down to the beach & head into the freezing north East Sea! I aim to walk in with my trusty crutches & hopefully not fall over! Yes I’m a tad crazy, but it’s for a very worthy cause!
For people that don’t know me that well I would like to share my story so far... I was diagnosed with MS 20 years ago, 6 months after giving birth to my beautiful daughter. As you can imagine life was tough, tripping over my own feet, dropping cups, keys and basically suffered general everyday clumsiness, I was so worried I would drop my beautiful baby. Louise has grown up most of her life with a mum that couldn’t take part in the fun stuff (netball, running, hiking, bike rides) etc...The last 3 years has been incredibly difficult, painful and exhausting. I have foot drop in both feet, nerve pain, balance problems, spondylosis, arthritis, bulging disc in the lower spine to name a few! I would love to raise money to find a cure for this dreadfully cruel disease. I'm politely asking my friends & family to support me with this crazy challenge, please pledge your name to show you care xxx
