Story
To celebrate turning 40 (hard to believe I know!!) in October, I have decided to take part in the Causeway Coast Marathon Walk. Before anyone asks YES it is 26 miles and NO I will not be cheating. I am already in training and if Usain Bolt was an Olympic walker he’d be quaking in his boots right about now!! Apart from the fact that I will have to walk 26 mile which is likely to leave me walking like I just got off a horse on my big day I have to start the race at 7.30am in Portballintrae – for anyone who knows me well you will appreciate that this early start is almost as much of a challenge as the walk itself.
Anyway down to business I am looking to raise money for two charities, Breast Cancer Care and Homerton University Hospital in London. Both charities are extremely close to my extended families hearts. My wee cousin Louis is currently under the amazing care of Homerton University Hospital.
If I was begging for money for myself I’d be ashamed right about now but it’s not for me so I’m not going to be backward about going forward – GIVE ME YOUR MONEY, THE MORE THE BETTER!!
