Charities have a truly worthwhile cause and there are so many to choose to help. This one felt like an instinctive choice for me.

The NSPCC are a charity I strongly support and have held dear for a very long time. There are too many vulnerable children not getting the care and love they need - and deserve. Their stories break my heart and inspire me to want to help.

Of all the obstacle courses and runs I’ve done over the years, I have not been sponsored but as this is a huge challenge I’ve decided to embark on, I felt it appropriate to start here!

What’s the challenge…? “Dawn2Dusk” (better known as an ‘Ultra’) begins at 6am on Saturday 13th March 2021 and ends at 6pm, 12 hours later!

I shall be running, jogging and most definitely allowing myself some time to walk! The distance has to be covered on foot and I have set myself a realistic goal of 65km/40miles. Of course, I’d love to do more than this but let’s see how the preparation goes.

The training alone is going to be half the battle but what a challenge it will be and what a worthwhile cause to work for, right?
