Story
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You may or may not know that Jules & I are about to embark on a cycle from London to Sydney on bamboo bikes we built ourselves. A not insignificant distance of about 28 000kms!n Before you think that we both deserve to be sectioned, let me explain why...
My Dad died of a brain tumour that had spread from his skin, at a point when he was just looking forward to retiring and enjoying life. This has taught me that I should never assume what the future holds and I should get out there any chase my dreams.
Having worked at The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, London for over 3 years, I am acutely aware of how poor the outcomes can be for brain tumour patients. Brain tumours kill more young people under 40 than any other cancer. The five year survival rate is a mere 12% compared with up to 86% for breast or 55% for bowel cancer.
As a radiographer at NHNN, I got the chance to work with the Institute of Neurology, UCL one of the partner organisations that has benefited directly from Brain Tumour Research funding in the past. Please dig deep, your donation will make a difference.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please select the Gift Aid option, so that Just Giving can reclaim 25% on top of your donation for charity.
You can track our exploits at:

N.B. This expedition is entirely self funded, all donations will go directly to Brain Tumour Research's invaluable work.
Thank you
