Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sadly despite all efforts Neil passed away on the 12th November from a rare form of cancer. He was treated at the Macmillan unit at the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds and we’d like to raise money in lieu of flowers to help them continue the wonderful care they provided to him for other patients.
His loss is still quite raw and we’re all working through it but will ensure his beloved 3 year old daughters will always know how desperately he wanted them and how much he wanted to stay.
Cancer is a cruel and vile disease and as research carries on for future cures, units like this care for both patients and families dealing with the effects now.
I hope you’ve stayed the course and are still reading, we grieve for the gentle caring man he was and know that those who knew him might like to help - and I sincerely hope none has to use a Macmillan unit.....
Please give to this instead of flowers, it’s what Neil would have wanted.
Thank you x
