Earlier this year I visited Kosovo, to see my dear friend Arlinde. I was welcomed with open arms to both Arlinde's family and also Kosovan culture but also witnessed the remenants and devastation of war.

The lack of employment is rife and the charity that I have choosen to run for is Women for Women who work at improving the lives of women in Kosova and around the world who are struggling to find jobs.

Their scheme is based on a co-operative ethos where women are empowered with specific training and can, if they choose, to become partial business owners of the business.
