Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having been diagnosed with cancer and knowing I would lose my hair, which I had been growing, I now how I felt when the day came to have my head shaved - just imagine how a child would feel ... I then researched where I could donate my hair and came across this charity.  I was saddened to hear how many children lose their hair for various reasons and the fact that they cannot get real hair wigs free on the NHS.  Each wig costs Three hundred and fifty pounds each and only last 4-6 months.  This charity promises every child a free wig ... after speaking to them I have decided to fund raise on their behalf and will be arranging some fund raising events - so watch this space.  

As I am intending to have a massive raffle, if anyone has any fab raffle prizes  they would care to donate, I would be very grateful.    We have  already have some amazing items that have been kindly donated by very generous friends.  If all my Facebook friends donated just a pound each we would be well on our way to my initial target ... 

I know there is a lot of fundraising going on at the moment for Cancer Research, and I too have supported these, but this particular charity can help a child/young adult overcome so much and if you would like to take a look at their web page and hear some of the stories, I know you too will be moved by them .... especially when you see their faces light up and see how much their confidence is boosted by their new hair... the web address is:

My first target of £20000 has been smashed and I have just increased it to £23000!! During lockdown I started painting stones!! I have been asked so many times if friends could buy them that I have now been doing this!! Trying to keep up with orders and finding the right stones has been quite challenging... but kept me sane too!! Any donations are greatly received and I will post some pictures shortly.
