I am quite literally stepping outwith my comfort zone as I have been selected for Strictly Inverness 2014!

Other than dancing in the Den I have no dance experience so this really is a challenge! I am one of 32 soon-to-be dancers (!) We have been partnered up and each have to learn 2 individual dances and a group dance. We have to train for the next 14 weeks and are being taught by professional dance tutors 3 times a week - no light undertaking! 

We not only have to learn to dance but also raise as much money as possible; we are judged both on our dancing and on how much funds we raise so any support is very much appreciated.

About the event:

Strictly Inverness is back in May 2014 and is very different this year - with the introduction of a grand finale on the Saturday night!

This year's competition launches on Wednesday 7 May with a showcase including some of the tutors strutting their stuff. There are two adult competitions on Thursday 8th (this is my night!) and Friday 9th May.....and on Saturday 10th May, the top four couples from each night will battle it out against each other to result in an overall winner.

Tickets go on sale from the Highland Hospice on Monday 17th February.
