Story
Henry was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at age 11. A very late diagnosis for this condition.
DMD is a severe form of Muscular Dystrophy which has no cure . It is a serious life limiting condition which causes progressive muscle weakness.
It’s been a couple of years since Henry’s diagnosis and we were blown away with the fundraising our friends and family helped achieve across previous events.
Things are developing with Henry. He is now in high school and using his powered chair every day.
This is a huge fundraising event for us to continue to raise money for research into treatments for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and aim for the cure we desperately need.
Times are hard for everyone and I recognise fundraising is a stretch but any donation is so gratefully received.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 110,000 children and adults living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK. There's currently no cure, and it many cases, it limits lives. MDUK do vital work in funding pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals and families living with these conditions. All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
