I am doing a 10k run in June 2013. I am raising money for Aspire who are a charity helping and supporting people with spinal cord injuries.

 

Both my husband Pete and myself were working until his accident last April. It was a complete life change for us both. I have had to finish work to now become Pete's carer as he needs 24/7 care. We have had to move home to an adapted flat to better suit his needs.

 

Pete had an epileptic fit which led to a fall down the stairs. He broke his C4 &C5 in his neck. In the 6 months Pete was in the spinal unit they were always on hand with support, help and advice.  Pete is now home but is quadraplegic, but still they are on hand for help and advice. There is a very personal reason for supporting this charity, so I hope to be able to do them proud.

 

Please help support a great but not widely known charity.
