So it seems every time I come close to completing an overseas work campaign, my wee mind starts wondering “what other exciting adventures can I participate in next?”.
As some of you may know, I have already trekked in Peru, and cycled from Vietnam to Cambodia for Breast Cancer Care, but this time I opted for something closer to home and to the heart.
My next challenge is to cycle from London to Nice in September, a mere two weeks in the saddle covering approx. 80 miles / 125km per day, totaling 966 miles / 1525km, through the glorious landscapes of France and Switzerland, before descending through the Gorge du Loup into Nice (yeah not sure what that is either but can't wait to find out!).
I have opted to raise funds for Macmillan Support this time. My brother Lindsay lost his battle with cancer a couple of years ago, and he just adored the Macmillan Nurses that helped care for him dearly. He would be turning 59yrs in September, so this is in memory of my amazing big brother, who’s strength and courage was admired greatly by me. If only I had half of it!
Please consider taking the time out to make a donation, no matter how big or small, every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.
Best go buy a bike and get training!!!
