Story
If anyone had said I would be a participant in the Great North Run I would have said "No Way" but here I am entered for the 2015 run, along with more than 40 work colleagues, students and community members, running in memory of two lovely former students of Ponteland High School.
"Run for Rachel" is in memory of Rachel Blaylock who was due to complete the Great North Run in 2014 but was tragically killed in a car crash two months before the event.
I am raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service because of their role in the rescue attempt of Victoria Wilkinson and her father in 2009. Sadly neither her nor her father survived the accident.
We hope to raise £10,000 to help support the great work of the North Aimbulance Service.
