Well I've done it!  It was an excellent experience and Mark of Henry's Barbers High Bridge, Newcastle, he was the best sport ever - well worth a visit.  I've raised about £1500 so far which is fantastic.  Thank you so much for your generosity I'm overwhelmed at how much I have raised. Thanks also to my sis Ali, my best friends Jane and Janette who seemed to be a bit more stressed over the whole affair than me!  I'm looking to download the video to you tube once I get some IT support so will keep you posted on my efforts. x x

Anyone who knows me will know I have always wanted to shave my head - and doing it for charity justifies my strange desire!  My sister has lupus and has had some tough times in her life but she is amazing to me and a true inspiration.  I'm going to Newcastle with my closest friends and sis for my 40th birthday and I'm going to get the best looking barber in Newcastle to shave my head on that day the 18th November.  My mum has knitted and crotcheted me the best hats ever to keep me warm over the winter.

Lupus (SLE) is a disease of the immunue system - where it attacks healthy tissue leading to organ damage and illness.  It affects 3 in every 10,000 in the UK.  It is a chronic incurable condition. The severity differs person to person.
