Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 13th September myself, my family, friends and colleagues will be swimming a half marathon swimathon at St. Mellion golf and country club, 5 years to the day since we ran the gruelling great north run half marathon. The swimathon is to raise money for motor neurone disease, which most of you know claimed my husband 5 years ago. St. Mellion have kindly donated the pool for free for the day and we will need to complete 840 lengths to achieve this. I will be starting the day with 3 miles (192 lengths) to get us well on the way. My father, aged 82, will then swim a mile for the first time, followed by contributions of 1-2 miles thereafter.
Please donate to this good cause. We are no further forward finding a cure although there is ongoing research. My wish is to see a breakthrough in my lifetime.
