Story
On March 21st The Prospect Hospice is holding a Skydiving event and I foolishly agreed to take part in memory of my beloved sister Lisa, who passed away on the 29th October 2009. My dear friend Ewa Sobierjska has crazily agreed to join me on this jump....Perhaps the lure of champagne worked!!! (Patsy and Eddie are finally on tour....)
As most of you are aware I promised my sister that I would walk or run a marathon in her memory once she passed and whilst that will still be fulfilled at some point. I thought she'd find it far more entertaining for now if I jumped out of a plane at 10,000 feet!!!! Hence the the theme of the day being Sister Act 3 - The Holy Plummet. The climb to altitude takes approximately 20 minutes, followed by the freefall of 30 seconds at which point I pray the parachute will bring us back safely to solid ground. (Please feel free to have the champagne on ice for our landing!).
The Prospect Hospice took fantastic care of my sister and her family towards the end of her illness, by providing not only medical/nursing support but a myriad of support services that helped all of us throughout. So please help me raise these much needed funds to ensure that The Prospect can continue their excellent work. (Any monies raised will also show on the bluebell fund in Lisa's name that I set up at The Prospect).
