Fundraising for The Fire Fighters Charity
Story
Hi Everybody, thanks for visiting my page.
My name is Firefighter Liam Blake and on Sunday 23rd April 2017 I will be participating in the Virgin Money London Marathon in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity to help them continue to do the fantastic work they do for serving and retired firefighters.
The Fire fighters Charity helps give firefighters who have served and are currently serving their communities gain a better quality of life in their time of need. They have 3 centres across the UK who a dedicated to getting serving firefighters back on their feet and fit and ready for duty to serve you and their local community.
As a current active duty firefighter in Swanage, Dorset I have seen first hand the amazing work they do and have seen the effect it has on the lives of firefighters and those around them.
So here's the deal.....If you can help me reach my fundraising target I will run the marathon in fire kit or if I reach £2500 I will also run with a BA set on my back (that's an extra 4 stones of weight!!)
Any donations would be greatly received and all will go to The Fire Fighters Charity. Please could you share on social media if possible and nothing would make me happier than reaching my target and taking my fire kit for a 26.2 mile tour of London.
