Story
Welcome to my OneSight Fund Raising Page
According to the World Health Organization, 314 million people worldwide suffer from poor vision simply because they do not have access to or cannot afford care. In some countries, a pair of eyewear costs more than a month’s salary. Poor vision negatively effects a child’s ability to learn in school and robs an adult of independence, mobility and quality of life.
OneSight, a Luxottica Foundation, is a family of charitable vision care programs dedicated to improving vision through outreach, research and education. Since 1988, these charitable efforts have provided free vision care and eyewear to more than seven million people in need around the world and have granted millions of dollars towards optical research and education.
On the 23rd May 2011 I will be attending the OneSight Clinic in Puebla, Mexico, where we will be providing eyecare and eyewear to those less fortunate than so many of us
Anyone who knows me will appreciate that this is way out of my comfort zone so please help me raise my target by making a donation
In addition to attending the clinic I have been busy bringing the great work OneSight do to the attention of many people within the UK Optical Profession
Also my Daughter Paige is due to launch through the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme a drive to collect 'gently worn spectacles' and donations to help this fantastic
PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY - NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL
