Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When I went seeking for a greater challenge than a marathon, I couldn't think beyond the challenge of the Slieve Bloom Way. It is exactly twice marathon distance (52 mile) and offers some tough terrain with over 4,000 ft of ascent. The challenge will take place on Friday 6th April 2012 (Good Friday). During my challenge I plan to have six support runners, one for each of the six trailheads that I will visit. Each support runner will carry my provisions such as liquid, food and map etc. I hope to complete the non-stop challenge within 10hrs and in the process raise as much funds as possible for my chosen charities which are the Laois Hospice (IRL) and Cancer research Uk.
